It was a warm, cozy January day when I stood across from the man I love and promised to be with him forever. The kind of day that feels unreal, where time blurs and the only thing that exists is that quiet, steady moment between two people saying “I do.”
Our hands were clasped. Our hearts are full. And though the world spun outside, in that little space we created together, everything felt still.
We were finally married.
In 2014, I began a birthday tradition of climbing mountains by climbing Mt. Pulag, the second tallest peak in the Philippines.
To this day, I’m not sure what prompts me to take on the challenging conditions of mountain climbing on my special day, but there’s a sense of euphoria I experience while hiking that I can’t find in any other activity.
This is a long-due post. Yeah. I’m too lazy to update my blog for certain reasons like being busy at work, traveling or sleeping during weekends.
I know it will be super hard for me because I’m always online based on my work. (Remotely) but I told my two office colleagues if I failed this challenge I would treat them out for free in a buffet restaurant. (The expensive buffet restaurant in Manila).
There was a man standing beside my bed telling me to get up. I woke up to the noises as usual, but instead of finding nothing there, I saw a terribly gruesome figure. It seemed like it had been human at some point. I can only see the built of his body and how it is in good shape. I peak through my blanket to see his face but a whole bolt of fear covered me up when I saw only a shadow of a man dragging me to get up. My sweat dripped down my forehead and my heart was thumping hard at my chest. I was always afraid of the dark and I still am.
It was a test of life and death experience for me. I don’t even know how to swim. I have a heart failure. I’m weak physically but amidst all, I gave my whole bravery to do this. Always believe in yourself.
