Hi, I’m Jess. Welcome to Codes And Travel, my little corner of the internet where I write down the places I go, the things I’m building, and everything in between.
Why I started this blog
I started this blog because I never wanted to forget how a place felt. Some trips changed me in small ways, and I wanted somewhere to keep those moments. Writing is how I make sense of them.
What “Codes And Travel” means
The name is a promise to myself. “Codes” stands for my work and my curiosity about technology. “Travel” is how I rest, reset and see life from a different angle. Most of my days involve screens and problem-solving, and travel is what reminds me why I’m working so hard in the first place.
What I’m up to
Outside of the trips, I’m busy building. I run a small business here in the Philippines, and I’m working on something new of my own that I’m not ready to talk about just yet. Between long workdays and late-night ideas, I’m learning how to build something while still leaving room for adventure. I’ll share that journey here as it unfolds.
What you’ll find here
- Travel diaries: honest stories of the places I visit, like my first time in Japan.
- Reflections: quiet lessons from ordinary moments.
- Building diaries: what it’s like to build a business while chasing the next flight.
I don’t write travel guides. I write what it felt like, so that you can feel a little of it too.
A little about me
I’m based in Philippines, and yes, I’m the person who skips songs right before the chorus. I’d rather sit in the quiet verses of a story, on the road and on the page.
Say hello
If you want to say hi, share a story, or ask about a trip, message me on Facebook or Instagram. I read every message and reply as soon as I can.
Thanks for reading along.
Jess
